Als je een eigen website hebt, wil je soms wel eens weten hoe snel jouw pagina’s laden.
Er zijn verschillende websites waar je de snelheid van het laden van je website kan meten zoals iwebtool.
Maar Webpageanalyzer.com is echt een heel handige website. Je krijg geheel gratis een website snelheidsmeting met daarbij ook allerlei aanbevelingen om de snelheid van je website te verbeteren.
Voorbeeld aanbevelingen:
* TOTAL_HTML – Congratulations, the total number of HTML files on this page (including the main HTML file) is 1 which most browsers can multithread. Minimizing HTTP requests is key for web site optimization.

Webpage analyzer is inderdaad een hele handige tool. Je kan zo snel zien welke bestanden te groot zijn en een totaalbeeld krijgen.
Een tool die je daarnaast kan gebruiken is http://tools.pingdom.com/ hier zie je vervolgens per object niet alleen de laadtijd maar ook hoe lang het duurt er een connection is en wanneer het downloaden begint. Ik had op mijn website bijvoorbeeld een hele lange tijd totdat het downladen van de html begon. Dit was een foutje in de cache waardoor de server te lang aan het kloten was voordat de eerste bytes kwamen. Erg handig.

Inderdaad een hele handige website voor een snelle check: http://ipinfo.info/netrenderer/ daarna wel even afchecken met broswershots want die maakt echte screenshots bij het gebruik van de betreffende programma’s

Jouw reacties op mijn reactie zag ik toevallig omdat deze post opdook in mijn referrer pagina. Je kan echter ook zelf zorgen dat bezoekers die gereageerd hebben terugkomen.
Via de plugin subscribe to comments (http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/subscribe-to-comments/) zet je een vakje onder je contactformulier waarmee gebruikers kunnen aangeven dat ze een mail willen ontvangen als iemand anders ook reageert. Zo werk je meer discussie en interactie in de hand.
De plugin heb ik ook op http://www.saunaenthermen.nl staan en werkt ook op WordPress 2.6.1. Fantastisch om mensen terug te laten komen naar je posts.

Inderdaad handig. Heb het inmiddels ook er op staan.
Werd bij de installatie even op de verkeerde voet gezet.
Zag nl. het vakje niet staan.
Bleek dat ik ingelogd was als administrator en dan zie je het vakje niet. Dus even uitloggen en ja daar is het vakje.

Ik had hetzelfde probleem idd. De google analytics plugin van Joost de Valk is er ook berucht om dat deze geen code geeft als je als administrator ingelogd bent.
